Keshav alias Bandu Gore was a militant revolutionary of India’s independence struggle and a hard core activist of socialist party in Maharashtra. He believed in fulfillment of basic social needs and development of each and everyone from all stratas of society, as a individual person. He had extreme attachment for sports fine arts, oratory and literature. He stressed more on awakening, people’s participation and actual action. He was wholly committed to democratic socialism. His intimate friends, after his untimely death established Keshav Gore Smarak Trust in 1958 to commemorate and continue the ideals he cherished all his life.
